MAPL MEL

Welcome to MAPL Mel (pronounced MAPLE Mel)!

MAPLMel.com is a website dedicated to Top 40 Canadian (or CanCon) songs from the 70s and 80s.  Songs you once heard on radio, that you may not hear too much of, anymore.  Songs that make you say “I forgot how much I liked that song!”.

Research was done using RPM Magazine’s charts.  RPM Magazine was the only consistent music chart available during the 1970s and 80s.

At MAPLMEL.com, you will find a brief bio of each artist as well as a short clip of their hit, enough for you to say “I forgot how much I liked that song!”  Songs from artists such as:

Ray Materick, Boys Brigade, Graham Shaw, Sheriff, Sherry Kean, Barney Bentall, Cats Can Fly, Fludd, Stonebolt, Joey Gregorash, The Jitters, Thundermug, Cliff Edwards, Carig Ruhnke, Abraham’s Children, Greg Adams, Ronney Abramson, Ironhorse, Cooper Brothers, Rain, Michael Terry, Les Emmerson, and many, many more…

Please enter, but before you do, take off your toque, eh, put down your Kraft Dinner, and dust off your K-Tel collection…
